Jethro Tull - Stand Up
I’ve remixed Jethro Tull’s Stand Up for its 2016 reissue, released 18th November as “The Elevated Edition” by Parlophone in a multi-disc hardback book format, featuring new stereo and 5.1 surround sound mixes of the 1969 breakthrough album and the Living in the Past/Driving Song single, plus an alternate version of Bourée, crafted from the original multi-track tapes. This album, with its blend of folk, blues, and rock in tracks like A New Day Yesterday and Nothing Is Easy, captures Ian Anderson, Martin Barre, Glenn Cornick, and Clive Bunker at their early peak. The CDs include a 1969 Sweden concert recording opening for Jimi Hendrix, four BBC tracks, and the single A/B sides in original stereo and mono, while the DVD offers the 5.1 mix, 96/24 high-resolution transfers of the new and original stereo mixes, and concert video, all accompanied by a 112-page book with Ian Anderson’s track annotations, rare photos, and James Glashow’s original pop-up artwork.
