King Crimson - Starless and Bible Black
I have remixed King Crimson’s Starless and Bible Black for its 2011 40th anniversary reissue, working with Robert Fripp to craft new stereo and 5.1 surround sound mixes. Originally released in March 1974, this album, bridging Larks’ Tongues in Aspic and Red, is mostly a live record with audience noise removed, mixed with a few studio tracks. It captures the telepathic interplay of David Cross, Fripp, John Wetton, and Bill Bruford at their live peak, with tracks like the delicate Trio and the intricate Fracture showcasing their improvisational and compositional brilliance.
