Robert Fripp - Exposure
I’ve remixed Robert Fripp’s Exposure for its Fourth Edition release on 6th June 2022, as part of the Exposures boxed set, using the original 1979 multi-track tapes to create new 24/96 high-resolution stereo and DTS 5.1 surround sound mixes, capturing the album’s groundbreaking blend of songs, instrumentals, and sound collages with contributions from artists like Peter Gabriel, Daryl Hall, Brian Eno, Tony Levin, and Phil Collins. Recorded after Fripp’s post-King Crimson sabbatical and New York relocation, this seminal debut—originally conceived alongside Daryl Hall’s Sacred Songs and Peter Gabriel’s second album—blends new wave, prog, and experimental elements in tracks like You Burn Me Up I’m a Cigarette and North Star. The CD includes the complete album and alternate vocal tracks, while the DVD features the new mixes, the 1978 intended running order with original vocals (Last of the New York Heartthrobs), the Third Edition, and additional material.
