Suede - Suede
My remix of the classic debut album by Suede is issued on 9th July as a blu-ray exclusively through Superdeluxeedition for a strictly limited pre-order window of 10 days from today: https://www.thesdeshop.com/collections/suede
Released in March 1993, Suede’s self-titled debut was one of the most anticipated debut albums in the history of British music, a critical and commercial triumph, winning the prestigious Mercury Music Prize and hitting the #1 spot on the UK Album Chart. Featuring the classic singles ‘The Drowners’, ‘Animal Nitrate’, ‘So Young’, and ‘Metal Mickey’, ‘Suede’ sold 100,000 copies in its first week making it the fastest-selling debut album ever in the UK at the time. It is also commonly seen as the album that kickstarted the whole Brit-pop movement which went on to dominate the nineties in the UK.
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of this landmark album, Edsel proudly presents Suede on Blu-ray for the first time, including brand new mixes by Steven Wilson in stereo, 5.1 and Dolby Atmos (with the exception of ‘Breakdown’ for which the original multitrack tapes could not be located). Also included are a new 96/24 master of the the original 1993 mix and 5 restored promo videos from the period. All overseen and approved by producer Ed Buller.
