XTC - Skylarking

I’ve remixed XTC’s Skylarking for its 2016 reissue, released 10th October as a CD/Blu-ray set, working with Andy Partridge to create new stereo and 5.1 surround sound mixes from the original 1986 multi-track tapes, fully approved by XTC. Widely regarded as XTC’s masterpiece, this Todd Rundgren-produced album shines with tracks like Dear God and Grass, highlighting the lush pop craftsmanship of Partridge, Colin Moulding, and Dave Gregory. The CD includes the new stereo mix and four session tracks—Extrovert, Let’s Make a Den, The Troubles, and Little Lighthouse—three mixed for the first time. The Blu-ray, continuing the “box set on a disc” concept, features the 5.1 and stereo mixes in 24bit/96khz LPCM and DTS HD MA, instrumental versions, both original stereo mixes (corrected and uncorrected polarity), a complete demo album, additional demo and work tapes, and promo films for Dear God and Grass.
