XTC - The Big Express

I’ve remixed XTC’s The Big Express for its 2025 reissue as a CD+Blu-ray edition, released 17th October, creating new Dolby Atmos, 5.1, stereo, and instrumental mixes from the original 1984 multi-track tapes, with input and approval from Andy Partridge. Described as a “neglected classic,” this post-punk concept album about growing up in Swindon, as Partridge notes, is steeped in the industrial town’s life, weaving personal memories through tracks like Wake Up and Seagulls Screaming Kiss Her, Kiss Her.
