Yes - Fragile

I’ve remixed Yes’s Fragile for its 2015 reissue, released 30th October on Blu-ray/CD and DVD-A/CD, using the original 1971 multi-track tapes to create new 24-96 stereo and 5.1 surround sound mixes, fully approved by Yes. As always, my approach was to honour the spirit of the original mix while applying modern techniques to enhance clarity. Digging into the tapes, I uncovered treasures like full and acapella versions of We Have Heaven, an early South Side of the Sky, and a previously unheard All Fighters Past, hinting at ideas later used in Tales from Topographic Oceans and Close to the Edge. The set includes these bonus tracks, alternate takes of Roundabout and Mood for a Day, instrumental mixes, needle-drops of the original UK vinyl and US promo singles, a flat transfer of the original stereo mix, and restored Roger Dean artwork with Sid Smith’s sleeve notes.
