Yes - Tales From Topographic Oceans (Super Deluxe)
Arguably one of the most uncompromising and polarising albums in the entire genre history of progressive rock...
Rhino have announced a massive deluxe edition of the 1973 double album by Yes Tales From Topographic Oceans across 12 CDs, 2 vinyl LPs, and a Blu-Ray. As with the previous deluxe sets for The Yes Album, Fragile and Close to the Edge, I was invited to expand my original 5.1 mix into a brand new Dolby Atmos mix. The album is such a complex piece of work, arguably one of the most uncompromising and polarising albums in the entire genre history of progressive rock, so I spent a long time working on the Atmos mix to arrive at something which I hope does the ambition and scale of the music justice.
The box set features a remaster of the (frankly definitive) original Eddie Offord stereo mix on both CD and vinyl, as well as my stereo, instrumental stereo and 5.1 remixes from 2016 in slightly revised form, plus various live versions and rarities, including the single edits I created for the original Panegyric edition.
Release date 6th Feb 2026.

House re-mortaged, 'Tales' pre-ordered. I'm happy.
As a casual Yes fan, your and Tim’s regard for this album finally encouraged my commitment to its (monstrous) length… and I’m incredibly grateful for it!
Definitely worth the investment, and I’m stoked to (hopefully) give it more spins in the future (after I’m able to afford a pair of headphones that do it justice).
When are you guys going to do another “The Album Years”!?
