I’ve remixed Yes’s The Yes Album for its 2014 reissue, creating a new 5.1 surround sound mix and a 96/24 high-resolution stereo mix from the original 1970 multi-track tapes, with the original mix also included in high resolution. This album, a cornerstone of Yes’s early sound, captures the band—Jon Anderson, Chris Squire, Steve Howe, Tony Kaye, and Bill Bruford—finding their progressive stride with tracks like Yours Is No Disgrace and Starship Trooper. The Blu-ray/CD and DVD-A/CD editions, featuring beautiful new packaging with restored artwork and sleeve notes, include copious bonus material like alternate takes and unreleased recordings.
